It started off with some guy on youtube named, Toku Nation. Then it could be spread to another unknown source and another, and another, and another. Basically, nightmere10...it's all over the internet. ^But did Toku Nation ever confirm it or was an reliable source given to back up said claims by anyone there or in other places. What video was this? I've seen this rumor around the internet for a while but more as of what people think is going to happen/what they want to happen. Was it said as confirmation? EDIT - I see where my confusion comes from. You're referring to the "Toku Nation" youtube channel and not the website "TokuNation" youtube channel. Ok, that being said, I watched the video, and it sounds a lot more like he's fueling the rumor he's seen floating around somewhere else. He just brought it up like "Thank god this is the final super season" but doesn't say anything else to back up that claim. EDIT - I see what you're saying now, original response removed. From what I remember, it's been rumored that Collider got that news from a disgruntled fan that wasn't being taken seriously as a "source" in the fandom.

Ya the show is not ending with nick any time soon. They only go by every series or the 2 20 ep blocks renew. But they are renewed every series. And we know there will be a series after super ninja. I like countless others do hate the two year format and nicks yahoo scheduling. Really there is no logical reason the show had to go to the 2 year format. Let alone only air 20 episodes in a year. Nick has had many shows in past with more episode counts. Plus for the type of show or was. Nick could have had a show that airs all year long with new episodes. With only a short 1 to 2 month break. Of we aired the show along the Disney schedule way.
Also as we all talked about before besides nick for us markets. There is really no other network that will air the show likely. Disney networks off the mark wont, it wouldn't go to cn either as they have all there cap to worry about. Besides that what else is there. Nothing really as only other options would be something like kids click block. And no way the show is ever going to just go streaming as it makes its money from TV ads and what not.
Also sure we all know ratings are not that hot any more we lucky to be on 1 to 2 mill viewers. And going by Disney channels and cn most there shows of comparable to provide only hit same numbers. Plus again it's all about are nick and Saban happy with numbers they get. And are they happy with deal with each other. And for what we know they likely are as we haven't heard any issues between them.

^^Yeah, I wasn't saying it was them but just more so that in general it was reported that Ninja Steel was going to be a Netflix exclusive. I know that they weren't the ones to first report it as I remember that it was Collider that reported it and that a poster just shared it on TN's page to discuss it much like how it was posted on the old Rangercrew site to discuss it.

Well Ninja Steel is now on Netflix, as well as the other Power Rangers seasons. If Ninja Steel was gonna be a Netflix original it would've been a year ago. Nick even said that Super Ninja Steel premieres on Jan 27th, so I'm gonna take their word for it.

Actually man or seasons have been on Netflix for years now. Pretty much once Saban got rights back. It's been on netflix. And so forth. So really if it was ever going to been just a Netflix series would have made more sense when Saban and Netflix made streaming deal with each other.
Point is its never likely to go full just streaming. As streaming is just a after market thing for saban. As broadcast TV is still where they want the show. And the show is likely to always stay. So nick is first run home, then netflix is second run home. And then we have the shout sets for mm to rpm, and the LG releases of samurai through current show releases.
Again the show is not going to leave nick any time soon. As its steel a good deal between the two companies. And like I said we haven't heard any discord between them. Yes ratings have been going down for years now. But again almost all networks have seen ratings going downward. So again if all parties are happy with what they have then they are likely not going to stop working together any time soon.
Now sure we as fans may have our issues with nick. I the dam format change and schedule format of show now. Vs how it was early saban era, late saban era, and Disney format. There is so many ways nick could have handled things better.
I keeping the 1 year 1 show format for one would have been nice. So we could have kept on part with sentai so we wouldn't be so far behind and now Anni series are not the same. Second no reason we couldn't have done 32 to 40 episodes in 1 year. And 3rd the really dumb move of having a long mid break. Really nick should be like cw, abc, nbc, fox, CBS does there shows. What us there darn thought of having all there shows on break for long hauls. When or old way gave you a show a show you could air new stuff all the time.
But hey these are issues we been yelling at nick since it started there. And doesn't look like nick has any plans to change how they go about there schedules and format ways.

I don't think they will do this again this time, but I really want them to do one of those "Retweet to unlock first episode" things like they did with Dino Charge for Super Ninja Steel since its the 25th anniversary

Saw the fist 2 on DVD Monday. Apart from the game show angle I'm starting to like it so far. I hope Ninja Green won't be just a one and done deal. I hope she comes back for Super Ninja Steel. Aqua Ranger was a one and gone thing too.
As for Ninja Steel it's another case.
What happens is I come into these things thinking it's going to tank and about half way through it turns out to be solid. Dino Charge was like that last time.

It's not like they are seeing up. The problem is the whole neo Saban lazy design for original megazord, and megazord mode suits. First the modes is such a waste as all they do is stand there on set and swi by a sword and do nothing. When they have these nice looking power ups that could be like the old school team power ups or red battlizer suits and actually use it for ground fights. There is no reason they couldn't have done that. And gets you more use off the suits.
The second problem is then the cockpits themselfs. All we get is stupid gray walls and a little platform rangers stand on and place on or in a sword. It's so a lazy look. Vs I rather have stuck with just dubbing over sentai footage. Or they just recreate sentai set piece as it has happened in past series. this is area I hope hasbro will do better in.

Yeah! The only reason why those armors are made is to sell toys! But even kids have the toys fight on the ground! There's no Megazord playset!

Totally we all get the suits are made to have another toy out. But my sticking point been they spend all the money making two sets of armors and all they ever do with them is stand around on a platform and swing a sword around. You think you want to get more bang for your buck. And there is no reason they couldn't use them as standin for the old school team power ups and do a fight or two with them for at least a handful of episodes. With the amount of original footage they do some times.

Got that right! I liked the Ninninger cockpits. Star driving his zord. The Main Five using their swords while one sits.
Don't forget that every finisher ends with "FINAL ATTACK!"

Watched part 1 on DVD. Over all the first 20 were good. They could have done more actual ninja stuff however.

Sorry for the thread bump, but I just started watching the season for pretty much the first time and I'm liking what I've seen so far.
The concept of the villains' fights with the Rangers being televised as a reality show is a neat twist on the franchise's formula, as is the Rangers' Zords more of less just coming into existence out of the blue and being named by the Rangers themselves.
Speaking of the Rangers, I liked all 5 of the characters pretty much from the jump, which wasn't the case with either Samurai or Dino Charge, and the fact that they're more or less "independent operatives" without a true mentor is a nice callback to seasons like In Space, Lost Galaxy, and Time Force, especially with the villains being aliens.
The only downsides for me are Monty and Victor, but hopefully they won't get on my nerves so badly that their presence overwhelms the stuff I'm liking about the season.
